Scopes

Every semester the Mathematics Department of Northcentral University – Hochiminh University of Industry Articulation Program tries to organize a Seminar as a forum for students . It will cover both theoretical and experimental research related to the Applied Mathematics .

This year in the collaboration with the Cantho University , Cantho port , University of Natural Science HCMC , Namviet LTD Corporation , Songbe Rubber State-owned Company , Vinh Long Terracotta Corporation the Seminar will be held with on the topic Applied Mathematic in Economics .

Business and Export Activity of Vinh Long Terracotta Corporation

Abstract

The purpose of our seminar is to research business situations of terracotta export inVinh Long province from 2002 to 2008. We apply mathematical methods in College Algebra and Business Mathematic subjects to consider and predict the export prices of terracotta products for the last months of 2008. From this research process, we recognized the situation of terracotta export in Vinh Long thoughout many years by its positive moving . There is enough evidence to affirm that the terracotta export activity in Vinh Long is decreasing in the last months of 2008 .

Abstract

The purpose of our seminar is to research about the Pangasius export of Nam Viet Corporation from 2004 to the third quarter of 2008. We apply mathematical methods in College Algebra and Business Mathematic subjects to predict the amount and prices for export in the last quarter of the 2008 and the first three months of 2009. We have investigated the business result reality of Nam Viet Corporation for many years to define that the export activity of Nam Viet Corporation would be increasing in the future .

Abstract

We have performed the research on credit activities of DONGA Bank in Vietnam from 2003 to the last months of 2008 in order to apply the knowledge in economics and business mathematics . This is the main focus of interest in our seminar. During the research process, we decide to apply mathematical methods in College Algebra and Business mathematic subjects by many softwares: Maple, Curve Expert and Online Financial Tools to predict the data of DONG A Bank in the first months of 2009. According to the result obtained, not only we have determined credit activity of DONG A Bank in the recent years but we can evaluate its role in the future. From this seminar, we will know more about credit activities that are very important to the current economy in Vietnam .

Abstract

Để áp dụng những kiến thức về kinh tế và toán kinh doanh , chúng tôi đã tiến hành thực hiện seminar nghiên cứu về quá trình sản xuất và phát triển cao su . Bằng cách sử dụng phần mềm Maple, Curve Expert và Online Finalcial Tools chúng tôi đã tìm hiểu và nhận xét về số liệu của việc sản xuất từ mủ cao su ra mủ thành phẩm. Từ yêu cầu của bài seminar này chúng tôi đã nắm được những kinh nghiệm về tìm kiếm thông tin , xử lý các số liệu và dự báo các hoạt động sản xuất kinh doanh , hơn nữa có được cơ hội hiểu được những công việc thực tế để trở thành một nhà quản lý giỏi. Sáng tạo, học hỏi và thực hiện là ba yếu tố để trở thành một nhà quản lý thành công.

Abstract

Tien Giang is one of the main provinces in Mekong Delta where produces paddy with the high productivity . By applying mathematical methods in College Algebra and Business Mathematic subjects we realize the research on paddy production process in Tien Giang from 2004 to 2008 to evaluate its productivity in 2009, combined with application of three reducing methods : paddy seed , fertilizer and insecticide . It brings to farmers a lot of benefits not only the productivity of paddy would be increased but also the cost is reduced . The purpose of our Seminar is willing to help the farmers reaching the highest productivity targets with the reasonable cost and agricultural field of Tien Giang province growing more and more vastly .

Abstract

Can Tho port now is one of the central harbor that delivers and tranports goods in and out of the country , contributing to the economic development of the Mekong Delta and Vietnam generally. For that reason , we implement the research on the business of the Can Tho Port from 2006 – 2008 to consider its role in the economy development . With the result after analyzing , we would like to make projections and objectives for the port operations in the first months of 2009. Since then, we can affirm Can Tho Port will be increasing in the future .
