Scopes

With the intention to use mathematical models and applications in business practices, to help the students with the opportunity to attend extracurricular activities oriented, the HUI-NCU Math faculty will regularly organize seminars as the forum to exchange experience and knowledge of business between students, professors and other enterprises.

This summer semester, in the collaboration with the Bamboo Resort , Imexpharm , SRC Corporation , Tanbinh Industrial Park, the Seminar will be held with on the topic Applied Business Mathematics , using the mathematical models for economy prediction .

We also hope the Seminar will bring together experimental results in the field of Applied Mathematic in Business and encourage all research work of students , especially to the relationship between NCU-HUI and organizations .

Abstract

We have accomplished a research about the business process of Imexpharm Company for this Seminar in order to determine whether we should invest long-term or short-term with one billion dollars fund. By using useful software, we can analyze advantage and disadvantage in this large investment plan accurately. Depending on the Seminar’s request, we collected all raw data from the research by contacting with the company. This Seminar helps us have an opportunity to approach the real knowledge to become true investors in the future and clearly understand more economic knowledge and the subject of Business Mathematics. Deciding to invest the capital in other companies is the same as the bet because if the research is careless, it will affect the investment. May this studying is not enough but we hope it will apply our understanding about the inventors.

Abstract

Since Vietnam started to open its industry towards foreign markets, Vietnam's foreign trade has developed rapidly, especially after Vietnam took part in WTO. Saigon Rigging Company (SRC) is a well-known company for its supplying equipment, marine industry, Oil & Gas industry. Importing high quality equipment from overseas countries to serve local business is the main activity, which brings a big amount of profit to the company. This main purpose of this seminar is to analyze business results of SRC from 2006 to the first six months of the year 2009. We apply mathematical methods of College Algebra and Business Mathematic subject to determine business results, profits and future revenue.

Abstract

Among the strategical industries in Vietnam today , tourism service industry has an important contribution to the budget of our country. By advantages of geography, nature, environment and climate, Bamboo Village Beach Resort has also developed their potentiality . Our research on the business activity of Bamboo Village Beach Resort in Phan Thiet has been performed in order to apply the mathematical knowledge of business in a practical situation. According to data, the numbers of both international and domestic tourists continues to grow continuously, Bamboo's revenues has increased regularly every year, except in the second half of 2008 and first half of 2009. This is due to the global economic crisis, hurricane and influenza epidemics. To meet the demand high standards of customer, Bamboo always efforts to improve their services such as restaurant, bar and spa , to expand the scale and upgrade equipment and infrastructure. Through our research, we apply a number of software and mathematical techniques such as Excel, Curve Expert, Graphing packages and standard ESB statistics to analyze and estimate the business activities of bamboo in the next stage.

Operation of Department of Investing and Trading Infrastructure

Abstract

Today, Vietnam becomes one of the most attractive countries in South East Asia which has been received the foreign investment especially the industrial zones. In this study, we researched the operation process of Department of Investing and Trading Infrastructure of Tan Binh Industrial Park (TBIP) . With the purpose of the study , we received the helps from the department to have the data , then used Curve Expert, Graphing Package, Excel , and statistic software to show the operation process from 2006-2008. We also used mathematic models and statistics hypothesis testing methods to predict the net sales, expenses, and net income of TBIP in the future .
